Ministering and serving those who minister and serve
Answering the call to comfort others with the same comfort we have received from God.
Feeling lost, broken or in need of comfort?
Your “someday” has come!
“Someday Refuge” is the working name for our retreat ministry for a number of reasons. It encapsulates the common reality that most of us tell ourselves that we’ll work on our issues someday, get help someday, or that we’ll tap out of ministry to rest someday. The official definition of the word “refuge” has three profound meanings: shelter or protection from danger or trouble (as in a storm), a place of shelter, protection, or safety, or anything to which one has recourse for aid, relief, or escape. Our prayer is that our retreats will provide a safe place of refuge where guests are able to process, reflect, connect with God, and begin the healing journey they have needed for a long time. While we currently operate in a few beautiful settings thanks to generous ministry partners, someday we will welcome our guests to our own location in the mountains, near water, surrounded by the majesty of God’s creation.

Michelle’s Memoir
Meet Brent & Michelle
When Michelle’s stacked up trauma, grief, and stress led to burn-out, they sought help at a counseling intensive retreat in Marble, Colorado. It was there that she finally experienced the powerful combination of therapy and rest. Through the shared experience, Brent gained a deeper understanding of trauma and grief, saw the power of the combination of rest and therapy, and received his own call from God to enter into full-time ministry with Michelle in the development of a restorative retreat ministry. Now, as associates with Paraclete Mission Group, their dreams and visions are becoming a reality.
Enduring, Eternal Value
Would you be willing to support a ministry that has enduring, eternal value? God has led and equipped us to come alongside hurting global workers (missionaries, pastors, even veterans) who have suffered greatly. We are prepared to offer restorative retreats as the setting to care for these weary souls, so that they may return to the mission they have been called to, healed and restored.
